- Out-patient clinic
Every week (Monday to Friday) the infectious disease department provide outpatient ambulatory care on types of common infectious disease, and diagnosis & treatment covering different types of bacteria, viruses, rickettsia, fungi and parasites, as well as consultation on overseas travel infections and various infections on epidemic disease outbreaks. Besides regular infectious diseases specialize clinics, at the same time the infection physicians also supports the general internal medicine outpatient services of the hospital. The number of outpatients are around 1300 persons per month. - Admission
At present, this department has about 70 existing inpatient beds that cares complicated infectious disease of the patient including cellulitis, necrotizing fasciitis, meningitis, complicated intra-abdominal, pelvic/ urinary tract infection, liver abscess, endocarditis, sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, pneumonia & influenza, and fever of unknown origin, etc. The number of inpatients are around 260 persons per month. - Consultation
Infection-related problems and the use of antibiotics are all subject to consultation under this department. This department receives about two thousand times of average monthly consultation, and also supports hospital's relevant infectious disease consultation care. - Nosocomial infection control
This department is in-charge in the implementation of the decision making made by infection control committee of the hospital. The department is usually responsible for assisting the infection control nurses of the hospital in their nosocomial infection control work. Not only that they need to investigate of all suspected outbreak phenomenon randomly, but they also need to report to the nosocomial infection control committee regularly every month. - SARS-CoV-2 PCR examination for arrivals/departures
With response to SARS-CoV-2 epidemic and quarantine policy, we provide self-paid SARS-CoV-2 PCR examinations for persons in need.
