Special medical services: HIV/AIDS care team
Chi Mei Medical Center and National Cheng Kung University Hospital, the only two designated HIV hospitals in the Tainan district, provide anonymous testing, diagnosis and treatment for HIV and counseling for case management by case managers. Now we have 740 patients who receive HIV case management. Department of Infectious Disease also offers outpatient services for HIV cases in the prisons and detention centers. PEP and PrEP prescriptions are also included in our service.
