Chi Mei Hospital is among the best in southern Taiwan to the number of emergency patients. Acute critical care is a major features of the hospital. In order to further comply with the Ministry of Health & Welfare plans of Level I trauma center conditions, our hospital also established the Division of Traumatology in June 2006, under the Department of Surgery. Currently, there are 21 attending physicians.
