        This department in the pivotal sector of oral surgery has a glorious history with the actual participation and support of physician in upholding the academic, teaching and high-quality medical services, etc that possess as the core strengths, but it also has some weaknesses or for more baffling pursuit of sophisticated medical knowledge in the overall positioning of Chi Mei Medical Center of its desire to become the best in Asia or towards the direction of being the world-class medical center. The future of 21st century are new medical and biomedical development, so how to re-position this department and put forward the values of “Equality of life”, “ Health is priceless” in the effort to reach towards this direction with accordance to our vision.

• February 2010 – Chi Mei Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division Dr. Wun-Syong Guan passed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist exam.

   

• February 2011 – Chi Mei Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division Dr. Rong-Wu Yang and Dr. Yang-Kai Huang passed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist exam.

   

• March 2011 – Chi Mei Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division Director Cin-Yu Yan was elected as director and supervisor of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Taiwan; Department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division (Liouying district) Director Wei-Fan Jiang was elected as council members of Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Taiwan.

   

• February 2012 – Chi Mei Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division Dr. Si-Cian Yu and Dr. Ya-Jing Jhang passed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist exam.

   

• April 13, 2012 – Tokyo Dental University Chairman Yuzuru Kaneko accompanied by Professor Akira Katakura and Professor Seei Hirouchi for hospital visit.

   

• August 22, 2012 – Tokyo Dental University Professor Shinichi Abe, Taipei Medical University Professor Wei-Ren Jhang led by 6 students in Faculty of Tooth and 3 students in Faculty of Dentistry to carry out academic exchanges and visits at our hospital.

• December 2012 – Chi Mei Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division Dr. Yu-Syuan Yang passed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialist exam.
