柳營奇美醫院臨床病理部依據業務屬性設置「細菌組」、「生化鏡檢組」、「血庫血液組」及「臨床服務組」四大核心專業組別，現有醫事檢驗師編制47名，全年無休提供高品質檢驗服務，平均每日服務人數超過2,000人，支援357項臨床檢驗項目，全面支援醫療團隊進行疾病診斷、治療追蹤與精準照護，為醫療品質之重要後勤支柱。
本部門自2006年即通過國際「ISO 15189醫學實驗室認證」，並持續透過延展評鑑強化品質管理體系，建立與國際接軌之標準化運作模式。於2015年成為全國首家通過美國「Westgard Sigma」品質管理體系認證之醫療體系，導入高階品質統計方法，有效量化隨機與系統誤差，制定科學化的品質控制規則，確保檢驗數據穩定性與可信度，全面邁向國際級水準。
自2023年起，臨床病理部前瞻性導入ESG（環境Environmental、社會Social、公司治理Governance）永續理念，設定「ESG-CECOR」（Calibrate, Explore, Create, Organize, Realize）為智能實驗室發展願景，積極建構敏捷韌性、創新永續的實驗室生態系。透過流程再設計、智慧管理與能資源優化，實現品質精進與環境責任並重，持續推動實驗室邁向永續醫療與精準醫學發展之嶄新里程。

The Department of Clinical Pathology at Chi Mei Hospital, Liouying, leads this initiative. It is organized into four professional teams: Bacteriology; Biochemistry and Microscopy; Blood Bank and Hematology; and Clinical Services. The department operates 24/7 with 47 licensed medical technologists, serving over 2,000 patients daily and conducting 357 lab tests. It plays a crucial role in diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and precision care.Accredited under ISO 15189 since 2006, the department undergoes continuous surveillance and extension assessments to align with international lab standards.
In 2015, it became the first institution in Taiwan to be certified under the Westgard Sigma Quality Management System. By applying advanced statistical methods to control both random and systematic errors, it ensures reliable laboratory data and moves toward internationally benchmarked standards. Since 2023, the Department of Clinical Pathology has proactively embraced the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability concept under its ESG‑CECOR framework (Calibrate, Explore, Create, Organize, Realize). This visionary framework guides the development of an agile, resilient, and innovative smart laboratory ecosystem. Through process redesign, intelligent management, and resource optimization, the department aims to achieve both quality excellence and environmental responsibility, continuously advancing its smart laboratory toward new milestones in sustainable healthcare and precision medicine.
