本平台專注於探討電離輻射對生物組織造成的醫源性損傷及其病理機制。目前放射醫學面臨的重大挑戰之一，在於精確輻射暴露後，如何有效評估並預防對中樞神經系統產生的長期副作用。我們建立了穩定的「放射線誘發腦損傷」研究平台，透過精密局部照射模型，解析神經元凋亡、神經膠細胞過度活化及後續導致的認知與神經行為障礙。針對目前輻射生物學中關於正常組織保護與修復機制尚未釐清的難題，本平台提供高可靠性的動物模式，協助各界進行輻射損傷修復藥物開發與病理機制驗證，為中樞神經輻射防護研究提供關鍵的合作支援
Our platform is dedicated to investigating the iatrogenic injuries and pathological mechanisms induced by ionizing radiation in biological tissues. A critical challenge in modern radiation medicine is the accurate assessment and prevention of long-term adverse effects on the central nervous system following radiation exposure. We have established a robust "Radiation-Induced Brain Injury (RIBI)" research framework, utilizing precise localized irradiation models to analyze neuronal death, glial overactivation, and subsequent cognitive and neurobehavioral deficits. To address the unresolved questions in radiobiology concerning normal tissue protection and repair mechanisms, our platform offers high-fidelity animal models. We provide essential resources for the development of radioprotective strategies and the validation of pathological mechanisms, serving as a key collaborative hub for advancing research in neuro-radiation protection.
