The Department of Diagnostic Imaging is staffed by 24 board-certified radiologists, 70 technolgists, 13nurses,
17 administrative personnel, and 7 assistant technicians. Subspecialities include musculoskeletal imaging, interventional radiology, and others, providing a comprehensive range of services covering conventional radiography, fluoroscopic radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, bone density assessment, angiography and other interventional procedures. Embolization therapy of the abdomen and head & neck, carotid arterial stenting, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and others interventional procedures are more recent additions.

The mission of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to provide efficient and high-quality medical imaging. We are constantly striving to keep up with the latest technological developments, and we are commited to maximizing patient satisfaction. In addition, excellent training programs are also provided in terms of teaching and research, actively working in collaboration with residents, interns, and all members of the team. Staff members are encouraged to undergo short-term or long-term studies abroad.

- Minister Yu-Ting Kuo went to Ministry of Health and Welfare Pingtung Hospital to support medical image interpretation. (107.06-present)
- The Chi Mei Medical Center is the recipient of the SNQ National Quality Benchmark Award through cross-disciplinary and multi-team efforts in holistic care, the implementation of our institute to promote CICARE and SDM in the completion of a case of high-risk treatment, and achieving excellent treatment results whilst continuing to develop innovative neuroradiological interventional procedures to provide medical services of exceptional quality involving minimally invasive cerebrovascular interventional therapy.
- The liver cancer care team (theme: all-round multi-specialty liver cancer diagnosis and treatment) was affirmed by the SNQ National Quality Mark.
- Mammographic services at our center were named nationwide model hospital during 2021-2022, and 5 members (3 physicians, 2 technologists) were appointed members of the board of quality control for mammographic imaging.
