- To decrease the absorption of fat from food.
- To decrease the work and stress on the following organs:pancreas, intestines, gall bladder, coronary artery.
- Suggested foods:
- More plant foods:whole-grain products, fruits, non-fried soy products, beans and peas, and vegetables.
- Moderate amount of lean and low-fat, meat and dairy products:low-fat or skim milk and yogurt, low-fat cheese, lean meat, liver, heart, kidney, eggs, oysters, shrimp, eel, abalone, octopus, sardines, scallops, squid ….
- Low-fat cooking:steamed, boiled, braised, stewed, roasted, braised without oil. Try adding non-irritating condiments such as lemon juice, herbs, and spices on cooked vegetables instead of using cheese, butter, or cream-based sauces.
