心臟血管外科
一、訓練目的：
對輪調住院醫師，加強疾病診斷，初級心血管疾病的處置及相關心臟疾病的加護照顧，以期未來遭遇相關疾病時有正確的處理方向。對專科住院醫師除加強心血管病理學識外，還針對個人手術案例，臨床研究施以個別輔導，以期在訓練完成後能確實執行治療計劃。
二、訓練對象：
(一)輪調住院醫師為第一、二年住院醫師
(二)專科住院醫師為第三、四年住院醫師，第五年則調昇為住院總醫師。住院總醫師應負責科內醫療行政工作，同時秉承部或科主任意旨，做科內外一切行政工作之進行，並學習與各級行政人員融洽相處完成任務之工作。
三、訓練期限：
(一)輪調住院醫師：二至三個月。
(二)專科住院醫師：每年至少應八個月的專科訓練。
四、訓練內容：
(一)針對各類疾病，在主治醫師的指導下完成病史詢問，身體檢查，各項專科檢查的判讀(如PVR、EKG、Endocardiography、cardiac cineangiogram等) 鑑別診斷的判定、手術計劃、心臟術後的加護照顧、藥物服用及出院後門診追蹤計劃。
(二)在主治醫師的帶領下，完成各項手術的啟始與終結工作(如胸骨、心包膜的切開、週邊血管的縫合)。
(三)在主治醫師指導下，完成特殊案例之病情研究報告。
(四)在專科住院醫師的訓練，則特別強調疾病生理，手術技術與研究企劃案的執行。
五、考核：
在輪調住院醫師方面，以該專責主治醫師針對其病患照顧能力
病歷寫作、檢查資料判讀、手術技術操作及文獻報告，各方面初考，再由主任複考後，留為晉升依據，在專科住院醫師的考核除上述各項外，還針對各不同手術技術施予考評，務求住院總醫師訓練完成後，再獨立而正確作業。

八、學術研討會
- 每週一上午7:40於3AI討論室舉行期刊閱讀。
- 每月第一週週二上午7:40於十二樓小貴賓討論室舉行心臟外科、痳醉科聯合討論會。
- 每週二上午7:30於十二樓小貴賓討論室舉行每週晨會及手術週報。
- 每月第三週週四上午8:00於十樓空橋討論室舉行心臟外科、心臟內科聯合討論會。
- 每月第三週週一上午8:00於四樓討論室舉行心臟外科、腎臟科聯合討論會。
九、回饋
- 住院醫師每個月應按時繳交當月手術紀錄，並註明主、副刀，手術紀錄將交由科主任以方便了解、評估目前手術技巧能力的進展。
- 住院醫師每月應繳交學術活動表詳細紀錄、每月參加之科會、晨會所研討之案例以及院外學術活動。
- 每位住院醫師必須按月完成由衛生署委託財團法人醫院評鑑暨醫療品質策進會訂定之學習護照。
- 住院醫師於每次全院性演講或課程訓練後必須填寫問卷，針對上課內容、授課教師進行評估，此方便作為日後改善之基礎。
- 住院醫師每月應繳交「外科部主治醫師手術教學成效評估表」及「教學滿意度評核表」，以達到教學成果之雙向回饋評估。
- 科主任、主治醫師每月會與住院醫師舉行會談，以了解住院醫師學習狀況，評估是否須進行個別輔導。
- 主治醫師得依照迷你臨床演練評量（mini-clinical evaluation exercise ，mini-CEX）、客觀結構式臨床能力試驗（objective structured clinical examination，OSCE）、或直接操作觀察（direct observation of procedural skills，DOPS）之評量表，考核住院醫師臨床上評估病人、人道精神、臨床判斷及臨床技能等能力。
- 為增進研究能力與經驗，在主治醫師指導下可進行專題研究並撰寫論文，醫院有編列經費支持研究計畫，如果論文有刊登於雜誌期刊上另有獎勵方法。
