The main physician members of this team (Director Dr. Chien-Cheng Huang, Dr. Tian-Hoe Tan, Dr. Yuan Kao), are all "emergency specialists” and “geriatric specialists," the nursing members (head nurse An-Chi Peng, deputy head nurse Ting-Ya Yang, and nurse practitioner Yao-Mei Chen), and case managers (nurse Pei-Chi Yang, nurse Yi-Jun Lin) have all completed emergency education and training for the elderly as required by the National Health Administration.
In addition to geriatric emergency training courses prescribed by the National Health Administration, all interdisciplinary team members have received additional education and training provided by our team since 2016. Our team later expanded geriatric medicine education and training to the whole hospital in 2018. Lecturers consist of a range of professionals from emergency specialists, geriatric specialists, geriatric psychiatrists, hospice care and palliative specialists, to nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and dietitians.
In order to further expand education and training opportunities to more medical staff, our lectures are all recorded and uploaded to the "Chi Mei Medical Center Online Teaching" platform, where staff can watch videos at any time.
