The Department of Clinical Pathology at Chi Mei Medical Center, Liouying, has maintained ISO 15189 accreditation since 2006 and became Taiwan’s first Westgard Sigma-certified medical system in 2015. In 2023, it adopted the ESG-CECOR framework to advance a smart, sustainable laboratory. Environmental efforts include AI-driven workflow optimization to reduce reagent use and energy consumption. Social initiatives emphasize staff development, collaboration, and community engagement, while governance focuses on quality monitoring, regulatory compliance, and biosafety risk management. Through smart management and continuous education, the department aims to establish an agile, sustainable laboratory supporting precision medicine and healthcare sustainability.
