In order to prevent caregivers from leaving the patient’s bedside thus reducing the risk of patient falls, the emergency department and the nutrition department jointly set up a "bedside meal sales service", which provides food and beverages. Hourly attendants are also available for hire. The emergency room has a large analog clock, wheelchair accessible toilets, double handrails, clear signs and instructions, elevated toilet seats, proper lighting, earplugs to reduce noise, non-slip floors, and enlarged headboard signs. All of these provisions allow patients and their families to have a spacious, comfortable and safe environment while caring for the elderly.
